Why host your own SA-MP server?
SA-MP (San Andreas Multiplayer) turns GTA: San Andreas into a multiplayer sandbox, and after twenty years it still has one of the most loyal communities in gaming: roleplay, cops and robbers, stunt, DM and freeroam servers with hundreds of players. A server of your own runs your gamemode exactly the way you scripted it, around the clock, under your rules.
Our SA-MP hosting runs on AMD Ryzen CPUs with NVMe storage and sits behind VibeSHIELD DDoS protection, which matters more for SA-MP than for most games: attacks on popular servers are routine, and a filtered network is the difference between a busy evening and an empty one. The control panel gives you the console, a file manager and SFTP, and the server is online within minutes.
Which SA-MP plan do you need?
SA-MP itself is light; what grows with your server is the gamemode, the plugins and the database behind a roleplay script:
Starting out: SAMP I to II
1 to 2 GB runs a freeroam, stunt or DM server, or a small roleplay script, for up to 50 players.
Roleplay communities: SAMP III to IV
3 to 4 GB for 50 to 200 players with a full roleplay gamemode, a MySQL database and the usual plugins such as streamer and sscanf.
Large servers: SAMP V to VI
6 to 8 GB and extra threads for 200 to 500 players, heavy scripts and big databases. Upgrading keeps your files and takes a few clicks.
Gamemodes, filterscripts and plugins
Your server is a normal SA-MP server with full file access, so everything the community has built in two decades works here.
Pawn gamemodes
Upload your compiled .amx gamemode and filterscripts, set them in server.cfg and restart. Script locally in Pawn, upload over SFTP, test on the live server.
Plugins
MySQL, streamer, sscanf, crashdetect, YSF and the rest of the plugin ecosystem install the same way as anywhere else: drop the files in the plugins folder and list them in server.cfg.
Databases for roleplay
Roleplay scripts need a MySQL database for accounts, economy and property. Run one alongside your server and connect it from your gamemode with the MySQL plugin.
SA-MP server locations worldwide
Low ping is half the fun. Our SA-MP servers run in 15 datacenters across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa, every one on the same AMD Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage and behind VibeSHIELD, our own DDoS protection network with 17 Tb/s of mitigation capacity. You pick the location at checkout, and the latency checker below shows your real ping to each one before you order.
Outgrown your first choice? Our team moves your server to another location on request, with your files intact, so the location you start in is never a lock-in.
Your first steps after ordering
The server is delivered with SA-MP installed and running the default gamemode. Getting your own server live takes four steps:
- 1Upload your gamemode and filterscripts over SFTP
- 2Set the gamemode, hostname and rcon_password in server.cfg
- 3Add your plugins to the plugins folder and server.cfg
- 4Restart from the panel and connect with the SA-MP client
Switching from another SA-MP host?
Moving a SA-MP server is moving a folder and a database: the gamemodes, filterscripts, plugins and scriptfiles folders, your server.cfg and a dump of the MySQL database. Upload the files over SFTP, import the dump, update the database host in your script's config and the server starts exactly where it left off.
- 1
Download your gamemodes, filterscripts, plugins and scriptfiles
- 2
Export your MySQL database and import it into the new one
- 3
Upload everything, copy server.cfg and restart

Why choose VibeGAMES
DDoS protection
VibeSHIELD, our globally anycasted DDoS-protected network, now spans 46 scrubbing locations worldwide. Every point of presence filters traffic the instant it lands, stopping attacks as close to the source as possible, long before they ever reach your server.
All 46 locations combine into one unified DDoS-protected fabric, so the full capacity of the entire network backs every individual server. Layer that on top of custom game-aware filtering, tuned for the protocols our customers actually use, and it doesn't matter how big the attack is or how long it lasts. Your players stay connected.
