Counter Strike 2 Server Hosting
Counter-Strike 2 is Valve's free-to-play tactical FPS, released in 2023 as the Source 2-engine successor to CS:GO. Sub-tick networking, dynamic smoke grenades and rebuilt classic maps headline the rebrand. Five-on-five competitive remains the heart of the game, with community servers running everything from gun game to surf, bhop and casual deathmatch.

* VibeGAMES is currently in the middle of upgrading our servers to the latest AMD Ryzen 9950X CPU. It's possible your server will get delivered with an AMD Ryzen 9 CPU depending on the location and availability.
Why host your own CS2 server?
Your own Counter-Strike 2 server means your rules: a 5v5 scrim server with the exact competitive config, a retake or practice server for your team, a deathmatch or arms race community server, or Workshop maps Valve's matchmaking will never run. Friends and teammates connect by address, and the server is there whenever they are.
Our CS2 hosting runs on AMD Ryzen CPUs with high single-core clocks and NVMe storage, behind VibeSHIELD DDoS protection with a filter tuned for Source 2 traffic. The game panel was built around CS2: game mode presets, a Workshop map browser, one-click Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp, a players tab with match controls, GOTV demos and automatic updates. The server is online within minutes of ordering.
Which CS2 plan do you need?
CS2 has no tickrate to choose; sub-tick is the same on every server. What makes a server feel smooth is CPU per player and memory for the map and plugins:
Scrims and practice: CS2 I
4 GB and two threads for a 5v5 server with GOTV, or a retake and practice server for a team. 2 to 12 players.
Community servers: CS2 II to III
6 to 8 GB and three or four threads for 12 to 32 players on deathmatch, arms race, casual or Workshop maps with a plugin stack.
Big community servers: CS2 IV
12 GB and five threads for 32 to 64 players, the game's maximum, with heavy plugins and large Workshop maps. Upgrading keeps your files.
A game panel built for CS2
Most of what used to need a config file and a restart is a click in the panel.
Game settings and presets
Pick competitive, casual, wingman, deathmatch, arms race or practice and the right configs load. Set the start map, max players, passwords and the GSLT from one page.
Workshop maps and collections
Browse and add Steam Workshop maps and collections from the Maps page, or set a map group of official maps. The panel shows which map is running, even while the server hibernates.
Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp
One click installs both, with a catalogue of curated plugins such as MatchZy and an admins page. The Metamod hook survives CS2 updates, which the panel applies automatically.
Players and match controls
See who is on, kick and ban, restart the round, pause or swap teams from the Players tab. GOTV and demo recording are switches; demos appear on the Demos page to download.
CS2 server locations worldwide
Low ping is half the fun. Our CS2 servers run in 15 datacenters across Europe, North America, South America, Asia, Oceania and Africa, every one on the same AMD Ryzen hardware with NVMe storage and behind VibeSHIELD, our own DDoS protection network with 17 Tb/s of mitigation capacity. You pick the location at checkout, and the latency checker below shows your real ping to each one before you order.
Outgrown your first choice? Our team moves your server to another location on request, with your files intact, so the location you start in is never a lock-in.
Your first steps after ordering
The server is delivered installed and running in competitive mode. Getting your own server set up takes a few steps:
- 1Enter a Steam Game Server Login Token
- 2Choose a game mode preset and start map in Game Settings
- 3Add Workshop maps or a collection on the Maps page
- 4Install Metamod and CounterStrikeSharp on the Plugins page
- 5Add your admins and set a server password if you want one
- 6Join with connect ip:port from the console
Switching from another CS2 host?
A CS2 server is small: your server configs, the plugins and their configs, and the list of Workshop maps and admins. Upload the files over SFTP, pick the preset that matches your old setup, re-add the Workshop collection on the Maps page and the admins on the Plugins page, and you are back.
- 1Copy your cfg folder and your plugins from the old server
- 2Upload them over SFTP and pick the matching preset
- 3Re-add your Workshop collection and your admins
Open a ticket if you want a hand; moving a MatchZy or community setup is something our team does regularly.

Why choose VibeGAMES
DDoS protection
VibeSHIELD, our globally anycasted DDoS-protected network, now spans 46 scrubbing locations worldwide. Every point of presence filters traffic the instant it lands, stopping attacks as close to the source as possible, long before they ever reach your server.
All 46 locations combine into one unified DDoS-protected fabric, so the full capacity of the entire network backs every individual server. Layer that on top of custom game-aware filtering, tuned for the protocols our customers actually use, and it doesn't matter how big the attack is or how long it lasts. Your players stay connected.
